In this video, tillage specialist Jake Pippin walks you through how to set up TruSet for a John Deere 2230 field cultivator on a John Deere gen 4 display.
WHAT IS TruSet™ and why you need it:
- TruSet™ Tillage technology helps you increase your productivity in short tillage windows by making on-the-go depth and down-pressure adjustments from the cab in only six seconds.

- Do a better quality tillage job because it’s easy to fine-tune the implement with 1/10th of an inch adjustments, all from the cab with the touch of a button.

- Run variable-depth tillage prescriptions to incorporate residue at different levels across the field or change the depth of tillage for different conditions such as lighter soils or areas of known compaction.

TruSet Tillage requires a GreenStar-ready tractor with a supported display and receiver. The TruSet Tillage system must have a connection to the tractor ISO connection. Additional TruSet Tillage information:

TruSet can be run on John Deere and competitive tractors. For older John Deere and competitive tractors, a compatibility kit is needed in addition to the TruSet Tillage system. The compatibility kit includes an add-on selective control valve (SCV) and installation components.
These John Deere models are TruSet ready and will require the compatibility kit.
